GreenField 2 - 4 Darcy Lever,
After the disapointment of last weeks narrow 1-0 loss to Britannia Farnworth Darcy Lever bounced back with a hard fought 4-2 win at Harper Green. Darcy Lever scored in the 8th minute with a well taken goal from Cooper. Thats how it finished in the first half.
Greenfield exposed Darcy's weakness in the first 4 minutes of the restart by grabbing a goal to make it 1-1. Darcy then scored a second from star striker Davies in which the 'keeper made a mistake and the ball rolled into the back of the net. Once again Greenfield pressed and make it count when again they came from behind to make it 2-2. Darcy Lever though never let their heads drop and once again bounced back to press the Greenfield goal and Lloyd scrambled the ball home to make it 3-2.
Greenfield tried to claw their way back into the game but to no avail, as Darcy Lever with their new found confidence and belief pushed forward and a great individual goal by Collier made the three points safe at 4-2. The ref blew his whistle and pushed Darcy Lever further away from the lower reaches of the League and sets up nicely a home match v's Clifton Rangers on sunday. Darcy Lever will be looking to get revenge from a 5-1 loss earlier in the season, but Rod Marsh's Darcy Lever are not the same team from the start of the term.NewHouse Farm is the venue for this tie with an 11am kickoff Local Division one results To come
